Installation

Your Starbucks Rental Store is designed to install extremely fast resulting in minimal site impact.  The KEY to a successful installation is SITE PREPARATION, understanding any OBSTACLES in advance and communicating those OBSTACLES to PIVOT in advance.  A typical installation of a Starbucks Standard B Rental Store is 2-3 hours with the Enhanced B2 being 4-5 hours.  Once complete, your Rental Store will be operational and ready to be stocked and configured by your Starbucks operations personnel.

SITE PREPARATION

Complete your SITE PREPARATION on time and prior to Installation Team’s arrival for the Installation.  You are required to Submit the Site-Readiness Installation form prior to Installation.  If your site is not ready and we arrive to perform the Installation, your installation can not be completed and we will need to schedule another visit to complete your Installation.  This visit will be scheduled based on our resource availability and could delay the opening of your Rental Store.  The added cost for this visit will be added to your Rental as well.

SITE-READINESS FORMS

The completion of the SITE READINESS – INSTALLATION and TAKE DOWN forms are a requirement for this Starbucks Rental Program.  These forms need to be completed accurately and timely.  Please DO NOT upload “in-accurate or non-relative” pictures just to complete to form.  Your form will be rejected and you risk the cancellation or delay of your Reservation.  We use this form to ensure that the site will be ready for us to INSTALL or TAKE DOWN your Rental Store.  We can also provide feedback early if we see something that might cause an issue with the Installation or Operation of this Rental Store.  If you have issues, please contact PIVOT.  Unresponsive requests to complete these forms may result in delays or cancellation of your Rental.

SCHEDULE YOUR MASTRENA MOVE EARLY

Please schedule the move/installation/calibration of your Mastrena with BUNN or VIXXO as soon as you confirm your Installation date with us during the Pre-Rental Call or Site-Readiness Call.  Scheduling lead times may affect the opening of your Starbucks Rental Store.

HARD MOPABLE FLOORING

Don’t install your Starbucks Rental Store on CARPET.  This Store needs to be installed on a hard, mopable surface to pass Health Code.  If you location has Carpet or other type of flooring that will not pass Health Code (i.e. NOT Hard and Mopable), you will need to install a temporary Hard and Mopable flooring prior to the commencement of the Installation.  If you do not have Hard Mopable flooring (either permanent or temporary), your installation can not be completed and we will need to schedule another visit to complete your installation.  This visit will be scheduled based on our resource availability and could delay the opening of your Rental Store.  The added cost for this visit will be added to your Rental as well.

QTY 4 – 5 GALLON WATER BOTTLES

If you have opted for an OPTION A, please make sure you have QTY 4 – 5 Gallon Water Bottles at the Installation Location prior to the commencement of the Installation.  Our Installers will not hunt down water bottles if they are not at the Installation Site nor will they move water bottles from another location.  If these bottles are not there, PIVOT will pick up water bottles to complete the Installation.  The cost of these bottles, the labor to get the water bottles, transportation fees and additional installation time will be added to your Rental.

SCHEDULE CHANGES

Please adhere to the TIMELINE as shown this is Pre-Rental Call Step.  PIVOT goes to great effort to ensure that your Starbucks Rental Store is Installed ONTIME, QUICKLY and WITHOUT ISSUES.  Late schedule changes throw a huge monkey wrench in our schedule that affect other Rentals as well as your own.  This can also add large fees to your Rental.  14 Calendar Days prior to your Installation and Take Down are the key dates you want to remember prior to making schedule changes or cancellations.

STORE EQUIPMENT

Have the Equipment you need from your current Store pulled and available at the Installation Location prior to the arrival of the Installation Team.  The PIVOT Installation Team will not go into your existing Store and pull equipment.  This is really the main equipment including your Grinder and Oven.  We would be happy to place them in the Rental Store and plug them in for you.  If the equipment is not there, we will complete the Installation with it and it will be your responsibility to move and install it in the Rental Store.

ELECTRICAL

We will ship you a Jockey Box approximately 2 weeks prior to Installation.  Please make sure your electrician DOES NOT take apart the box or REMOVE the unistrut as the cost to repair the box will be added to your Rental.  Also, please make sure your Electrician runs 5 Wires to this Jockey Box (3 Load Wires, Neutral and a Ground) from a 3-Pole 60AMP breaker in the main panel.  Please ensure that the Circuit is LIVE so that our Installers can just plug-n-go during installation.

PLUMBER

If your Starbucks Rental Store is configured as on OPTION B or OPTION C, you will need to have your Plumber there at the commencement of the Installation to hard pipe the Sanitary Line to the Sanitary Rough-In.  Our Installation team can not do this tie-in.  If your Plumber is not there, your installation can not be completed.  We will have to schedule another Installation based on our availability of resources.  The cost of that additional Installation will also be added to your rental.  The added costs and delayed dates can be easily avoided by having your Plumber there at the START of the Installation.

OPERATIONS PERSONNEL ON-SITE

At the conclusion of your Starbucks Rental Store installation, our team will walk you through the functionality of your Rental Store.  This includes how to change a water bottle, how to change a graywater container, how to turn the lights on, how to adjust your hot water heater, how to cycle your Flojet pump, etc.  This walk through IS NOT OPERATIONAL STARBUCKS TRAINING.  Please note that this Walk Through will occur at the conclusion of your Installation prior to the departure of the Installation Team.  It is your responsibility to have all necessary personnel at the location at this time as the Installation Team will not wait to perform the Walk Through.  If there is no one at the location for this Walk Through, our Installation Team will assume that you do not need the Walk Through and depart.
